What did I just found! My new favorite illustrator of all time! Sandra Dieckmann - you are amazing! You put a smile on my face and a pencil to my hand!

Art by Sandra.

I do love you, Mike Perry!

At the moment this is my number one source for inspiration! Mike Perry is totally amazing! I could just watch his works for hours! Maybe I should grab a marker instead....

exercise

This was one of my first school works. We were supposed to do a painting of a map for a meaningful place (size A3). Mine was New York City (surprisingly). The main thing was to learn to paint with Talens gouache and to think outside the box - what is a map? What all it could actually be? The photo isn't too good, but my map shows some special places on top of the subway map. There is Little Italy and Soho. Little icons shows that you can find raccoon family from Central Park and total potheads from Avenue 1. I do love New York!
